NCLB funding at present goes to the ASDB students at the site-based schools (ASDB-Tucson or the Phoenix Day School for the Deaf [PDSD]). These schools receive about $250,000 in federal funds each year to support educational programs for our students. The requirements for highly qualified teachers, teacher certification and school accountability are the same for ASDB teachers as for public school teachers.
