How does NASDAQ adopt or change its Listing Rules?
The Listing Council is a standing and independent committee appointed by the Board. The Members come from diverse constituencies including institutional investor advocates, company representatives, lawyers, accountants, securities industry professionals and academics and includes thought leaders in corporate governance and market structure. After the NASDAQ Board approves changes to the listing rules those changes must be filed with the Securities and Exchange Commission, where they are subject to public comment.
