How does MyPersonal control who uses our portal?
The level of authentication is up to you. You may choose to allow your portal to be used by anyone that finds it. Most of our clients restrict certain portal features to members. If you desire, we authenticate against a database of your constituents and provide different levels of access based on database parameters. In general, we can provide the following levels of access: Open: Any visitor can use your StartPage. This extends your brand beyond the immediate community. Registered: Any visitor can register by providing basic information. Once registered the visitor can customize your StartPage. Restricted Premium: Only members with valid identification can register to gain access to premium content & services. Some of our clients have used this category for their chat rooms, discussion boards and affinity Web-based e-mail.
