You can calculate shipping rates in any combination of the below three ways. 1) Real Time Shipping Rates Calculate shipping by weight and location and have live shipping rates post to your customers directly from the carriers you choose; UPS, FedEx, or USPS. 2) Custom Shipping Table by Weight Rather than using the actual rates from the carriers, you can use your own defined shipping rates which are determined by the overall weight of the items in the shopping cart. 3) Custom Shipping Table by Price You can use your own defined shipping rates which are determined by the overall price of the items in the shopping cart. One very popular configuration is to use Real Time Shipping Rates in conjunction with Custom Shipping Table by Price.
