How does my work as a principal supervisor of a Masters thesis or doctoral dissertation figure into entitlements to paid post-retirement teaching?
In the 2006-2009 Collective Agreement, YUFA won compensation for such work by appointees to graduate programs. You’ll be paid $2706 for each such student for each year of principal supervision. This work counts toward the entitlements summarized in the previous question, at the rate of 1/6 full course per student per year.If you retired by 30 June 2006, such work counts first toward any remaining courses you’d be paid at the ‘enriched’ rate and then toward courses you’d be paid at the CUPE 3903 rate.
