How does my school or site get a WritersCorps teacher?
Sites must apply and meet minimum guidelines to receive a Teacher/Artist-in-Residence. Site selections are generally made the summer before each school year, with an application deadline of July 1. There is currently a waiting list, but some sites are given priority based on need, neighborhood and targeted age groups.
