How does Museum London choose exhibitions?
Our curatorial team develops a program of exhibitions based on many factors. We might wish to explore specific issues in contemporary art, to look at work in a particular medium or to give opportunities to artists at a certain point in their artistic careers. In all cases our choices are made in a larger context, including our desire to advance the critical discussion of contemporary art and to balance the attention paid to different media, to artists at different stages in their careers and to work that addresses itself to difference audiences. We regularly consider proposals for specific exhibitions from other institutions, independent curators and artists. We also try to stay abreast of work by a community of artists and to keep their work in mind as we develop our overall exhibitions program.
