How does MSU define research and scholarship?
At the core of MSU’s mission as a research-intensive land-grant university is research, that is, the search for new information and understanding. Creative activities, as in the arts, as well as basic and applied studies in the physical, natural, and social sciences comprise the research and creative endeavor portion of scholarship at MSU.
