How does MSc Finance (Full-time) differ from other MSc Programmes offered at LSE?

0

The MSc Finance (Full-time) Programme is a generalist finance degree, which aims to give students a solid foundation in the core aspects of Corporate Finance and Asset Markets, followed by subsequent depth in a range of fields through its optional electives. Although the Programme is (like all other Finance teaching at LSE) taught with a high level of academic rigour and grounded in economic theory, the specially designed courses are taught with a greater emphasis on practical application, with more use of case studies than on other MSc programmes. Unlike other MSc programmes within the Department of Finance, students are not necessarily required to have studied finance or economics at undergraduate level (although this would certainly be helpful). However, students must be able to demonstrate excellent quantitative skills and academic performance, usually at a top rated university. The MSc is Finance is also available to City professionals on a part-time basis, taught in the evenings
