How does moisture affect Supertherm before it cures?
Supertherm takes 7- 10 days to completely cure to its tough surface. If during the first couple of days a hard rain occurs or dense fog or high humidity occurs, Supertherm will absorb some of the water and appear to swell slightly. This is natural for a water base coating. During its dry or curing cycle, there is water present in the formula and, therefore, it will accept additional moisture because the polymers have not dried and locked down. DO NOT puncture or press the coating during-the swelling period–you can only harm the coating. As the weather dries out, so will the coating and finish its curing cycle. After it has completely cured, moisture will have no effect on Supertherm.
