How does Modem on Hold work?
Modem on Hold functions similarly to the “Call Waiting” service you may already have on your telephone line(s). If you receive an incoming call while you are online, your modem software will prompt you to answer or ignore the call. Or, if you would like to place an outgoing call, your modem software will allow you to suspend your Internet connection in the same manner. When you’ve finished your conversation, simply hang up the telephone and your Internet connection will resume.
