Mississippi is blessed with thousands of acres of woodlands as well as many lakes, rivers and the Gulf of Mexico that give us many opportunities to hunt and fish. State wide we enjoy a great hunting and fishing heritage. Thanks to the tireless efforts of the MS Department of Wildlife, Fisheries and Parks, private land management and statewide chapters of the National Wild Turkey Federation, Delta Waterfowl and the Quality Deer Management Assoc., we enjoy some of the best hunting and fishing in the US. With an estimated herd of 1.75 million whitetail deer, Mississippi has the densest population in America, along with an abundance of wild turkey and waterfowl.
