How does Metro Vancouver Regional Parks enforce its Regulation Bylaw?
The main focus of Metro Vancouver Regional Parks’ Public Regulatory Compliance Program is to obtain compliance with GVRD Regional Parks Regulation Bylaw 1048 (2006) to afford all of our park visitors a safe and enjoyable park experience and to protect park resources. We use a variety of enforcement measures from informing and educating park visitors to issuing tickets when necessary. Our preferred method is to simply talk to people who are violating the bylaw, explain the need for the bylaw and obtain voluntary compliance as much as possible.
