How does Metrix work?

Before Metrix can process work for your printing plant, its database is populated to describe your manufacturing environment – your presses, binding machines, stocks – and very importantly, costing data for press time, stocks, and so on. Metrix includes a library of standard folds, but custom folds can be added, along with custom marks, customers, and for some prepress systems, workflow settings. After the database has been set up for your manufacturing environment, each Metrix operator processes work using exactly the same information, ensuring standardized, error-free impositions. To process one or more orders, the Metrix operator enters the product specifications (finished product size, quantity, finishing characteristics, etc.) using a simple wizard, or imports these details directly from an MIS, order entry system, or website storefront system, including even custom-developed systems. The next step is the magic. The Metrix Auto Production feature determines the most cost-effective
