How does Mercer protect the confidentiality of my data in Mercer BenefitsMonitor?

To ensure confidentiality of all data, a minimum number of cases is required in order for statistics for a variable to be provided. For example, five organizations must report data for a variable in order for the median, average, 25th and 75th percentiles to be provided in the Benefits Valuation Report. With Plan Features reports, the names of the organizations included on the report are provided; however, the identity of the organization that sponsors a particular plan is not disclosed. Confidentiality standards are also set with regard to peer cuts. An organization can request a peer cut that must contain at least 7 organizations. If the same organization requests more than one peer cut, the requests are compared with one another in order to protect the confidentiality of each organization’s data. For instance, an organization cannot select 10 organizations in one peer cut and then select the same 10 organizations plus one additional organization in another peer cut.
