How does Medicare Part D help people who qualify for low-income assistance?
Medicare Part D provides extra help to people with limited income and resources. The extra help will result in coverage with reduced or eliminated premiums and deductibles and no gaps in coverage. For people whose incomes are less than 135% of the federal poverty level (FPL), Medicare will pay about 95% of their drug costs1— up to $3,6002 per year. Note: extra help may vary from state to state. 1The Henry J.
