How does Medicare coordinate with my MSU Benefits Group Insurance Plan?
Medicare is a primary coverage if you are not working and a secondary coverage if you are working. Medicare Part A hospitalization is free. Medicare Part B helps pay for doctor’s expenses and outpatient hospital care as well as some other expenses and requires a monthly premium. If you have not yet retired, you will not need Medicare Part B.
