How does MDS elaborate a goal?
A2: MDS elaborates a goal using a language called GEL (Goal Elaboration Language). Goals are elaborated in files called gel files. Inside the gel files is where you define a goalnet. A goal consists of a state constraint defined to be a constraint on the values of a state variable, over a period of time designated by two time points. More generally, GEL files are used to define goals, goal elaborations, and goal subnets to be added to the goal net running in an MDS deployment. For more information about goals and how they are elaborated, please see “State Analysis Training Material, Session 6”.
