How does Maine Care determine the rate for reimbursement of Durable Medical Equipment (DME)?
The amount of payment for medical supplies, durable medical equipment and service, except for orthotics and prosthetics, rentals and oxygen, shall be the lowest of: • The maximum Maine Care amount published at least annually on the Department’s website and made available to providers. • The adjusted acquisition cost plus the allowed 40% mark up, not to exceed $2,000.
