How does Mach5 Subscriber track email views?
We generate a random number which uniquely identifies each entry in your database, and provide a very small image with this number in the name of the file on our web server that you can put into your emails. The tracking image link does not contain any query string parameters or email addresses or anything that might increase a message’s spam score. Please note that many email clients do not open or display graphics by default, and so there is no way to track when these emails are viewed. However, if your recipient clicks through a link on one of these emails (and we are tracking the clickthrough), then that action will also count as an email view.
