How does Lorenz Snack-World ensure that all allergenic ingredients are recorded?
Lorenz Snack-World has its own allergy management system, which ensures that those consumers affected can avoid any unintentional contact with allergens. For this to be effective, all allergens in the ingredients and the finished products must be recognised. These allergens are taken into consideration in the HACCP analyses and – where possible – avoided or reduced. Allergens are taken into consideration in terms of the approval of raw materials, the developmental and production processes, labelling and documentation. The objective of these processes is to recognise all relevant allergens, to avoid them where possible and, where they have to be included, to make this information clear to the consumer in compliance with regulation EU 89/2003 of the European Food Authority.
