Life Coaching works very differently to Counselling. The aim of counselling and the idea of ‘therapy’ in general is to help people get in touch with their true emotions and express those in a healthy way. The aim of coaching is to help people get in touch with who they really are and what they really want from life and support them to go out there and create just that. Counselling tends to focus mostly on the past. With Coaching we focus on NOW, where you are at present and where you want to be, of course, when relevant we can look into the past to better our understanding of where we are, but this is not the focus. The focus is on the future. Bridging the gap between your NOW and what your future NOW will be. The most striking difference is that coaching is about ACTION and attaining our goals from within to our outter world.
