Product activation is achieved by connecting to a SELECT Server and receiving verification that your SELECT Server Name and Activation Key are correct. After initial configuration, Bentley InRoads XM Edition automatically and transparently tries to activate each time it runs and runs unconstrained for a period of 30 days after its last successful activation. However, if activation is unsuccessful for a period of 30 days, Bentley InRoads XM Edition runs in unauthorized mode with sessions limited to 15 minutes until the product is successfully activated again. If your organization chooses to run SELECT Server, first access the License Management Tool by activating the LicenseTool.exe in the C:\Program Files\Bentley\InRoads Group V8.9\bin directory.
