In keeping with LCMS World Mission’s definitions, LHM defines “unreached” and “uncommitted” people as follows: Unreached people are those who have never heard a clear message in the name of Jesus. Asia, Africa, and the former Soviet nations are still home to many unreached people who have never had access to the Good News of Jesus. Uncommitted people are those who have been exposed to the Word, who have had an opportunity to hear the Good News of Jesus, but who do not have faith in Jesus as their Lord and Savior. “Uncommitted” people live mainly in areas such as Europe, Australia, North America, and South America.
