How does LFRS accomplish its goals?
LFRS purposes to cultivate an atmosphere of love and acceptance to alleviate the strong sense of shame that is common in the chemically addicted. By making available the power of God to the client, he/she is able to apply the principles he/she learns in the recovery program. By encouraging the client in his/her personal relationship with Jesus Christ, the recovering addict is able to obtain and maintain a lifestyle of sobriety. LFRS staff encourages the clients who complete the program to continue attending support groups and become a committed and contributing member of a church body.
