How does laser safety eyewear work?
Glendale uses two types of lenses to properly attenuate laser exposures. Absorbtive technology literally absorbs the wavelength of the laser radiation while allowing the non-laser wavelengths to pass through the lenses. Glendale has two different absorptive technology platforms, dyes infused into polymeric filters or mineral glass (LGT) and Dielectric (CLT) technology, which reflects laser radiation. Warning: Laser eyewear is only design to provide protection against the wavelengths listed on the lens. Using the eyewear for any other wavelength can cause serious injury including blindness.
