How does Kumon differ from other tutoring programs?
The Kumon method and Kumon materials are unique just as our philosophy of fostering self-reliant students is unique. We build independence and accountability for students own learning. Students work every day as opposed to once or twice a week. They have to record their times and correct every mistake on the same day. They participate in setting their own goals. They are engaged in their learning process and grow to be confident learners. We believe that when students develop strong work skills, work ethics and responsibility, they are able to tackle any challenge that might come their way.
