How does KREC support research in Kentucky?
One of KREC’s goals is to create research opportunities to increase the number of highly qualified renewable energy & energy efficiency researchers & faculty at state universities and encourage graduate students to be part of the sponsored research activities. KREC will continue to advance fundamental and applied energy research and development through its competitive grants program. KREC’s research goals are to provide significant opportunities for collaboration among universities, industry, and national laboratory researchers to develop and improve renewable energy resources, bio-based products, conversion technology, integrated biorefineries, infrastructure and energy efficiency technologies and practices in Kentucky.
