How does KONAN Cataloger detect a scene change?
KONAN Cataloger detects a scene change on a cut basis and recognizes the gradually changing scenes such as dissolve, fade and wipe as a scene change. But it does not regard the images such as object motion, pan, tilt, zoom and boom, which result from a camera motion, as a scene change. Because the key frames are extracted by Image Descriptor’s calculation of the differences between images, the users can adjust the number of key frames extracted from videos by setting the optional variables.
