How does Komtrax work?
GPS satellites provide positioning information to the Komtrax unit installed on the equipment in the field. The Komtrax unit then takes the GPS data and hour meter readings from that machine and transmits this information to a communication satellite where it is relayed to a ground station receiver. The ground station then transmits this data to the data center, which posts the GPS data and other machine information on a password protected Internet site.
