How does Juniper Networks manage the IDP Appliance license key prior to LMS and the release of IDP 4.1?
The IDP license key was installed on the IDP appliance for IDP 3.x and earlier OS versions at the contract manufacture. IDP 4.0.x Software has a temporary license key that will expire on April 25, 2009. IDP 4.1 software restructures the license key management for the IDP appliance to support the LMS Online tool. Customers can generate a permanent license once the software is upgraded to 4.1.
