How does Judaism assist its adherents to achieve inner peace?
Answer Dear Gabrielle, Thanks for writing about an opportunity for a spiritual tradition to assist adherents. Jews find a great deal of inner peace, as you might expect in prayer three times a day – morning, afternoon, and evening. In addition, we also believe that regular and serious Jewish study, preferably with others, will also bring one inner peace. One of my teachers said to us: when I pray, I speak with God; when I study, God speaks to me. In certain stressful situations, we also have a tradition of reciting the Book of Psalms. Hope this is helpful.
