How does JobScan Lite work?
The main application is loaded on the office PCs. This is where you set up details of your personnel, their wage rates and working hours. This is also where you set up your job details, print job cards and run your reports. The data capture module is installed on the workplace pc which is linked on the network to the JobScan database which may be located on any networked PC or server. No keyboard or mouse is required. Using a barcode scanner, employees simply scan their ID badges to record their attendance and their task on the Job Cards to record their timesheets. As they scan, the system prompts them which barcode to scan next. The PC screen displays their current attendance & timesheet status, allowing them to verify their scan has been successful. No other information may be accessed from the workplace pc. What hardware & systems do I require? JobScan operates on a standard pc network running Windows XP over TCP/IP.
