How does ITT support women in its workplace?
Nancy Vanderlip: The strong leadership of Steve Loranger and other key members of his team sets an expectation of non-discrimination and fair play. Our values and ethics support the same concepts. Lisa Fitzgerald: I don’t think the company is overly supportive of women as compared to other segments of people. And that’s the way it should be. ITT has worked diligently on people development — regardless of gender, race, nationality, age, etc. This benefits women, and everyone else. Adrienne Burgess: One thing we shouldn’t do is put too much emphasis on the promotion of women. It should be a natural process, where the best person, regardless of gender, gets the position.
