How does it sound to hear Iowa Hawkeyes 5 and 0?
COACH FERENTZ: That was the goal for today. That’s about as good as you can do. We’re just happy with that. There’s no style points in football, so we don’t have to worry about rankings and all that other stuff. We can just try to get to six now. It’s a good feel. Q. Did you get to tell Bulaga he would play? COACH FERENTZ: Actually, no, the doctors got to tell him. That was what it was all hinging on. He took a stress test on Monday and he passed it, so he had the green light at that point. On one hand, this isn’t totally surprising because I think he missed three or four weeks as a true freshman, with a shoulder injury, came right back and really played well for missing a lot of time, and that’s unusual for a player to do that. I know he’s into it mentally. If he was as a freshman, you can imagine what he’s like now. Probably the only surprise, I thought he’d jump offsides at least three times in the first drive just because he’s so anxious to get going. So it’s good to get him back.
