How does it feel to be named the official ambassador for the Hi-Tec World Squash Champs in Manchester?

Great! I am really honoured. It involves promoting the tournament as best as I can and also trying to promote the sport of squash in general. Are you hoping to reach out to younger girls to prove that squash is not dominated by males? Yes, I would like to think so. I currently coach so I hope this will encourage girls to try it out. Of the group I coach probably 75% are boys but perhaps this percentage would be larger if it was coached by a man. I hope bringing in more females to coach will begin to change things and girls will feel more confident about trying the sport. Are you a professional athlete or do you need to work full time too? First off I am a full time squash player, the coaching is just extra for enjoyment and to put something back in to the sport. I coach at the club I originally started playing at so really it’s gone full circle! What more do you think has to be done to raise the profile of squash in general?
