How Does It Fare Without Lisa “Left Eye” Lopes?
By now, you probably know all there is to know about TLC. But let’s recap just in case you’ve forgotten. TLC is Tionne “T-Boz” Watkins, Lisa “Left Eye” Lopes, and Rozonda “Chilli” Thomas. They came together in 1991 and were managed by Pebbles and picked up by LaFace Records. They’ve released: Oooh…On the TLC Tip, Crazysexycool, Fanmail, and now 3D. I believe that TLC has gone down in the record books as one of the most successful girl groups. I don’t know of all of the records that they’ve broken but I do know that they’re typically held up as role model for many female artists like Destiny’s Child. Unfortunately, what people usually know TLC for isn’t their music but all of the scandalous, soap operaish drama.
