How does it differ from Endermologie?
A. Endermologie is a deep mechanical massage. It uses a device that suctions the skin with a vacuum which will lift the skin – to stretch the fiber bands and massage the underlying fat. This suction has created unacceptable side effects such as bruising, broken blood vessels, and pain. Studies with VelaSMOOTH® had no complications and there was no discomfort during and after the treatment. Indeed most patients enjoyed the treatments. Unlike the VelaSMOOTH®, with endermologie – You require twice as many treatments, at best only 50% of patients will respond, and the results are temporary. Overall there is disappointing results with endermologie.
