ISO/TS16949 defines quality system requirements specifically for a supplier to the automotive sector. It embodies all of the requirements of ISO 9001:2000, but also contains numerous additional requirements. ISO/TS 16949 is therefore advantageous to any organisation that supplies its products to both automotive and non-automotive sectors. This may be achieved under a single registration.
