How does Intuit’s Instant Data Entry work?

0

Intuit provides the option for users to import their W-2 wage data directly into their TurboTax return. Embedded in each version of TurboTax 2008 is a series of screens that will ask you if your employer allows the automatic download of W-2 data. You must provide information from your W-2 to access the service and enter the Employer Identification Number (EIN) that appears in Box B of your W-2. You will also be required to enter two pieces of personal information: your Social Security Number and data from Box 1 of your W-2 . Your W-2 data will transfer directly from ADP National Account Services into your TurboTax return. If your company has elected to opt out of the program, a message will indicate that the user’s records are not available for this service.
