INoC has a quality control process in place which includes feedback from a wide variety of professional resources. Interpreters are evaluated on their promptness, courteousness, professionalism, knowledge of needed vocabulary, communication skills, positive impact on the situation and overall rating. How does INoC screen interpreters? We have adopted a process for screening interpreters which we follow at each and every interview with prospective interpreters in order to maintain the highest quality standards: 1. Rsum review 2. Interview scheduled based on rsum 3. Interview/orientation 4. Education level in all languages a.) Experience b.) Formal training c.) Understanding of the interpreter role d.) Cultural competency How far in advance do I need to call to schedule an interpreter? We prefer 48 hrs or more if possible but will always try to work with you to accommodate your immediate needs.
