How does ING approach Corporate Social Responsibility?
For ING, corporate responsibility is a fundamental part of our strategy: ethical, social and environmental factors play an integral role in our business decisions. Everything we do to improve customer satisfaction and search for shareholder return must pass the test of integrity. Integrity means not only strict compliance with external rules and regulations and our Business Principles; it is also about having the right attitude towards key stakeholders, an attitude driven by fairness and openness. For us, corporate responsibility is a basis, not a marketing tool. For example we support microfinance institutions, Chances for Children and in 2007 ING will become fully carbon neutral.
