How does image stabilization work?
There are two types of image stabilization available to reduce the shaking of a handheld camcorder. • Digital Image Stabilization – this is the most common form of stabilization and is achieved by “floating” the image on the CCD and moving it in the opposite direction to the shake movement. • Optical Image Stabilization – is a more sophisticated (and expensive) method of stabilization achieved by mechnaically moving the lens elements.
