IKEA plans to open new stores in the US over the next 7 years. We will initially focus on serving our existing markets, and then move into new markets that we believe are compatible with the unique IKEA concept. We have currently opened 14 new stores since November of 2004 and we have 2 more stores slotted for the next year.
