How does IIP affect Ill Dependant Leave?
The IIP will not affect Ill Dependent Leave. It will remain in effect in accordance with the Collective Agreements, which provides for up to six (6) days of ill dependant leave per calendar year. The level of coverage during ill dependant days will be payable at either 100% or 75%, based on years of service, as outlined in the IIP Coverage Chart. The ill dependant days will be deducted from the available IIP days/hours.
