How does iiamo warm work – where does the heat come from?
It may sound weird, but the heat originates from the reaction between water and salt – i.e. the formation of saltwater, or more correctly from the rehydration heat from dried salt. The secret is that salt really likes water. And in this case, we have dried the salt in the heater (iiamo warm) to an unnaturally high percentage of dryness – i.e. that practically all the water has been driven out of the salt. In order to drive the water out of the salt, energy has been used for evaporation, and this energy is released when water is added to the salt again when the heater is activated.
