How does hypoglycemia start in diabetics?
Hypoglycemia occurs in patients that are having diabetes or as a result of various medications, certain diseases, drinking alcohol and even – skipping meals. Diabetics can have hypoglycemia due to mismanagement while on treatment and when enough food is not consumed totally skipped. Our body needs fuel to work and its major source is sugar. The conversion of the glucose in our bloodstream is made possible by the food that our body digests. Your body, mainly the brain and nervous system needs a certain amount of glucose to function properly. If the blood glucose in the body is too low, the body will eventually react and it can be manifested through symptoms of hypoglycemia.
