Standard UDP or TCP protocol checksums are used when receiving or transmitting data between the user application node and the local HyperIP unit. Additionally, the transport protocol between the HyperIP units uses a proven block-numbering acknowledgement and retransmission mechanism along with UDP checksums to ensure data is not lost or corrupted over the WAN.
