When Calyw was in a coma yet conscious outside his body, it was made abundantly clear to him that Hyarama reaches further than all the world religions; it was Hyarama that healed him. It is good to understand the historical roots of the religions, and the human needs that they may still succeed in meeting. Every religion has had esoteric groups within its geographical limits; many groups helped people cope with what they experienced as inadequacies in the dominant religion; many groups became cruelly persecuted when discovered by the religious authorities.
