With regard to email: • HumanEdj makes copies of emails that people have sent you, either by retrieving them from Microsoft Outlook (the default on Windows) or by downloading them from an email server of your choice using POP3/IMAP and optionally SSL/TLS. In the case of Outlook, received emails are moved from the specified Outlook inbox to another Outlook folder (by default called HumanEdj) once they have been copied into HumanEdj, so they are still available in Outlook itself. In the case of an email server, received emails are copied also to a local MBOX file as a backup separate from HumanEdj itself, then deleted from the server. • Subsequent manipulation of the email copies made by HumanEdj is done entirely within HumanEdj itself. • HumanEdj sends emails on your behalf on request, either by copying them from HumanEdj into a Microsoft Outlook outbox (the default on Windows) or via an SMTP server of your choice.
